Dave Bautista reveals how many makeup colors are applied to his body to play Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. iii. With filming on the third installment in the hitting Marvel serial currently underway, Bautista is reprising his office equally the muscle-leap conflicting warrior for what is expected to exist his terminal outing. Last year the one-time wrestler suggested that his fourth dimension in the role was drawing to a close due to his historic period and the increasing difficulties he encountered keeping his muscular form in shape.

Created by comic book author Jim Starlin, Drax first made his comic book appearance in 1973, though his original origin story varied greatly than that portrayed in James Gunn's offset Guardians of the Galaxy film. Most recently Bautista sought to address the defoliation some fans have with his pare color, with many wondering if his skin was indeed green, grey or even blue. Taking to Instagram he instead revealed the answer with five numbered bottles of different colored makeup which each go practical in turn. This five-stage makeup process goes a long manner to explaining the amount of time Bautista is required undergo his transformation into Drax. Having previously stated that during the kickoff Guardians of the Milky way moving picture it took approximately four hours to have his makeup applied, Bautista would confirm that for the 2017 sequel they had managed to streamline that entire process into a 90-minute sitting. It is not known whether further improvements accept since been made to the makeup process for the upcoming threequel.
